NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE PASSAGE

Hancock County Fiscal Court will consider for passage and adoption Ordinance 2024-01, an ordinance relating to volunteer emergency services in Hancock County, Kentucky regulating the minimum requirements to serve as a volunteer member, at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 22, 2024, in the Fiscal Court Room located at the Hancock County Administration Building, 3rd Floor, 225 Main Cross Street, Hawesville, KY 42348. A full text of the proposed ordinance is available for public inspection at the Hancock County Judge Executive’s Office, Hancock County Administration Building, 3rd Floor, 225 Main Cross Street, Hawesville, KY 42348, during office hours Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

A Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) contractor will continue a significant roadway reconstruction and widening project on US 60 in Hancock County, affecting both eastbound and westbound traffic.

The project will stretch from milepost 4.5 at John Pate Rd to milepost 9.6 at KY 3101, starting during the night on April 3 and continuing through September 30, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The work involves removing and repairing the existing roadway and widening measures to accommodate increased traffic flow and ensure safer travel conditions.
